Vision & Strategy

Client: HarvestPlus Solutions
Program: Nutrition Education & Monitoring in Urban Schools
Scope: Android, iOS Mobile App + Web Admin Console

Mission

Eliminate preventable malnutrition and poor dietary habits in urban school populations through a data-driven platform that connects field coordinators, teachers, students, and health authorities in a single, auditable system.

Strategic Horizons

Horizon Timeline Focus Key Result
Iteration 1: Foundation 10 Weeks Mobile screening, Video Learning Hub, Admin Console Pilot with 20 schools, 1,000+ students screened
Phase 2: Growth 3–6 Months post-pilot Multi-district rollout, M&E dashboards, audit workflows 60% reduction in manual reporting effort
Phase 3: Scale 6–12 Months Full district integration, automated analytics, API connectivity Measurable health outcome improvement across cohort

Strategic Pillars

1. Data Continuity

Every student interaction — from initial height/weight screening to quiz completion — is captured, timestamped, and linked to their longitudinal health record. No data loss from offline to online transitions.

2. Privacy by Design

Architecture is compliant with India's DPDP framework. PII is anonymized for aggregate reporting. Role-based access ensures coordinators cannot access data beyond their assigned schools.

3. Educational Effectiveness

Content delivery is structured, measurable, and adaptive. Completion rates, quiz scores, and re-engagement patterns are tracked per module per student.

4. Operational Resilience

The mobile app functions fully offline — critical for schools with intermittent connectivity. Data syncs automatically when network is restored, with conflict resolution built in.

Problem & Solution

Challenge Solution
Paper-based, fragmented health records Centralized, cloud-synced screening records
No real-time view of school-level health data Admin dashboards with drill-down by school, grade, and district
Low student engagement with nutrition content Structured video learning with embedded quizzes and progress tracking
Manual, error-prone BMI calculations Automated WHO growth-standard calculation engine
No visibility into meal distribution compliance Digital supply chain tracking with coordinator sign-off
Slow response to emerging health anomalies Automated anomaly alerts for administrators and health officials

Measurable Outcomes (Iteration 1)

Metric Target
Schools onboarded 20 pilot schools
Students screened digitally 1,000+
Video modules delivered 5 core nutrition modules
Coordinator audit compliance 90%+ GPS-validated submissions
System availability 99.5% uptime during school hours
